retailProphet®

retailProphet is rda's versatile location potential scoring model. Using retailProphet, rda is able to estimate retail potential in terms of the combined value of residential, working population and business demand at retail locations across Australia.

In many industries, such as travel, banking, telecommunications and fast food, the retail potential of particular locations is strongly influenced by the non-residential population, mainly people who come there to work and also by nearby businesses.

Also for some categories, additional sources of demand such as demand from mobile trades or construction activity also have a substantial impact on retail potential.

Each analysis using retailProphet can be customised to incorporate the necessary demand layers and then combine these to arrive at an overall retail potential estimate.

The value of present and future demand can be readily estimated using rda’s geoProphet models.

Consumers’ retail patronage choices are principally influenced by the relative utility offered by competing alternative destinations. The relative utility of competing centres is in turn determined by each centre’s relative attractiveness as a place to shop and the relative convenience in getting to it. In retailProphet alternative retail locations compete for their share of available demand based on their relative utility. This competition is implemented in retailProphet using a spatial interaction model.

retailProphet incorporates an extensive 'What if?' scenario modeling capability for testing of alternative market entry, network build or acquisition strategies. This feature of the system can also be used to test sensitivity to key strategic assumptions.

Micromarketing strategy development based on retailProphet is readily facilitated through trade area identification and profiling in terms of rda’s comprehensive range of geodemographic systems; geoSmart, geoTribes, geoProphet and also an extensive range of abs data.

retailProphet is the comprehensive solution for location potential scoring & network strategy modelling.
